Your wedding day is approaching fast. Although you’ve booked luxurious hair and makeup services for the big day, remember that you also need to relax a bit and fine-tune your beauty routine beforehand so that you look chic and gorgeous. The good news is that relaxation and pampering can go hand-in-hand! Here’s what to do the day before your wedding to be a poised and pretty bride.
Scrub Your Way to Gorgeous Skin
You should definitely do some skin pampering before your big day! Not only is this a great way to feel relaxed, but it will ensure gorgeous skin on your wedding day. Use a gentle exfoliating scrub on your skin to eliminate any dead skin cells and give your skin a dewy appearance. For luminous skin courtesy of skin brightening products, use an exfoliating product that contains lactic acid to fight discolouration and give you touchable, soft skin.
Meet up with Your Best Girls
It’s always a good idea to round up your bridesmaids so you can run through wedding day details to ensure everyone’s on the same page. But, it’s also a vital aspect of connecting with your special friends before you get married. Spoil yourselves with a spa massage or hair treatment – this could actually be a clever bridesmaid favour gift, too. Having a relaxing, pampering session together is a good way to achieve calm, which results in you looking more centred and beautiful on your big day.
Choose Beautifying Foods
Now’s not the time to grab junk food – these boost your blood sugar but quickly zap your energy. Tiredness reflects on your skin so give such foods a miss. Sit down to a delicious, nutrient-rich dinner the night before your wedding so that you give your body the energy it needs for you to feel beautiful and happy. When choosing healthy foods, be sure to avoid any that will cause bloating, such as cruciferous veggies. If you simply have to have that broccoli in your healthy salad, make sure it’s cooked so as to diminish its gas effects.
Book That Mani
Your nails might already look gorgeous, but you don’t want to risk any scuffs or chips from ruining them on the big day. Getting your nails done the day before your wedding helps to delay this from happening because it’s a fresh new mani. Choose a colour that will look sophisticated and chic, but a good tip is to complement the bridal colours you’re wearing. Take your ring into consideration. It is a trendy choice to opt for a colour that’s within the same family as the gemstone in your gorgeous wedding ring, but don’t choose one that’s so colourful or bright that it overshadows your bling. Your ring should be the star of the show!
Hit the H2O
By the time the day before the wedding comes, you’ve undergone lots of beauty treatments to look gorgeous when you walk down the aisle. Since you can’t do too much the day before because you want to maintain your skin’s calm and clear appearance without irritating it, you want to focus on simple things to rejuvenate your skin. One of the most important is to drink a lot of water.
Carry a water bottle around with you so that you can continue topping up throughout the day. Getting lots of water into your system keeps your skin moisturized, which makes pores and wrinkles less pronounced. Remember to hydrate your skin on the outside too with moisturizer at least twice during the day. This keeps the surface layers of skin hydrated so that they don’t become dried out.
Get Your Beauty Sleep
You might feel like you want to spend the night continuing your fun day with your bridesmaids, but avoid getting to bed too late. You need to be well-rested for the morning of your wedding day. Get at least 7 or 8 hours so you eliminate the risk of feeling anxious, irritable, or looking tired. Remember to set an alarm to wake you up bright and early!
When doing last-minute touches to your beauty routine the day before your wedding, be sure to use the time to relax and unwind, too. This makes you unveil inner and outer beauty that will turn heads.
