Brittany is beyond excited to let out the little secret she’s been working on for months, and she has something important to say… “Welcome to our Fancy Face Rosé Room!”
Hello everyone! Today is a very special day for me, because I have a little secret to share…since May we’ve been hard at work creating a space for Fancy Face to call home, and it’s finally ready! I can’t wait to introduce you to our Fancy Face brick and mortar shop! Can you believe it? This special space is 1920s Parisian inspired and our goal was to have everyone who comes here feel like the most glamorous versions of themselves. So welcome to our Fancy Face Rosé Room!
After 14 years in this business, I really felt like it was time for us at Fancy Face to step out and create a space that represents everything we are. I wanted a space that felt like home for the Fancy Face team and also for every single one of our clients who entered it. I wanted to create an ultra glamorous experience, so we took a lot of time to plan and perfect our vision. I worked extremely closely with a brilliant designer, Marcy Mussari of Marcy Mussari Interiors, who was incredible from start to finish. I really believe the two of us were on the same page from day one so every little bit of this shop feels authentic and true to our vision and who we are as a company. I cannot wait for you to experience it for yourselves!
From the moment you walk through the door you feel as though you’re in this rosé wonderland and it’s just so exciting! From the floor to the ceiling, the wallpaper to the lighting, the florals and doorknobs….it was all meticulously planned and thought out so your experience here would be top notch. As many of you already know, I came from a theatrical background. As a singer, actor and dancer I spent many a day in dressing rooms! Our space definitely shares a similar feeling in terms of the bulbed lighting, the mirrors and the makeup counters. But to expand upon that feeling, I went very 1920s Parisian traditional in terms of style and design. I’m not a modern gal in terms of my taste, I love chandeliers, ornate wallpaper and all of those intricate designs that honour that Parisian period a century ago. Our wallpaper is called Wonderland and I adore it! There are peacocks throughout the wallpaper and they symbolize vision, awakening, spirituality and guidance among other things. I really wanted to have that positive energy in the space. We have a chandelier in the shop that is actually from the 20s, it’s a blush pink, ombre tone with amazing swan detailing and I’m obsessed! Even our awning outside has a very Parisian feel with the white and grey stripes. We painted our doors and even our ceiling pink. Rachel Clingen, who as some of you may know did the florals at my wedding and I absolutely adore her, had a part in the interior design as well. I knew I wanted her touch and she did not disappoint. Her incredible floral design is an awesome installation that hangs from the ceiling in the shop. It’s absolute glamour. We also have lots of feathery textures which bring out a whimsical feeling in the space. The signage was provided by my mom’s company, Banners Plus, so it also feels like there is a little piece of her in the shop, too, which makes it all that much more special.
Before we took over the space it was this old, 1970s pharmacy that needed a major overhaul. We basically stripped it down to its bones and created an entirely new aesthetic. We took risks and they so paid off! I truly believe there isn’t another space quite like it here in Canada and I’m so thrilled and so unbelievably grateful to everyone who helped make it a reality. We have a lot on offer here in our Fancy Face Rosé Room. We of course will be doing hair and makeup for our clients. You can call in and book an appointment prior to your event, your wedding or whatever other reason you may want to be fancified! We chose very light, feminine tones that will be great for brides on their wedding day so they can enjoy the glamorous experience as well as be in a place with a fabulous look and feel for their wedding prep photos. It really is a great option for brides who want to capture the essence of their special day. We’ll also be selling our Fancy Face products so you are welcome to come visit and try them out! We’ll be using the space for photoshoots and also offering it up as a rental space for any Fancy Face clients who may want it all to themselves for a special event! We. Are. So. Excited.
We coined it the Rosé Room because of the blush pink colour and I absolutely love the french flair we wanted to create; more than anything we want it to be a space that everyone really wants to just relish in, enjoy and help them feel beautiful. There are so many little elements in this shop that make me feel at home because it is so authentically me, in here. I really hope you feel that way, too. I hope you love it as much as we loved creating it for you all. Come and visit. I’m so excited to create so many memories here. I’m simply over the moon! So thank you. Thank you for all of your support, strength, love and loyalty! We wouldn’t be here without you! Thank you all for making this possible.
Til next time…x
