Hey, beauties! I recently had the pleasure of making my way back to Cityline and it was such a joy, as always! This time around, we talked about my tips for long, voluminous lashes. We all want them, so I was delighted to share how to make them a reality! Read on here and sit back to enjoy the segment, too!
First, let me tell you that there has been a shift in the lash look. From 2014 to 2019 the big, dense, intense lashes were all the rage. But since 2020, the beauty world and all of us lovers of a gorgeous lash started to embrace the more neutral, “clean girl” lash look. So it’s time to put aside the damaging semi-permanent lashes and say goodbye to the ultra full lash look.
For those of us (myself included) who need some extra love in the lash department, one lash serum that stands out from the rest and has offered me incredible results is Neulash Lash Serum. It doesn’t irritate my eyes, I only apply it once a day in the evening and my natural lashes grow into an ultra-flattering length that mascara just amplifies. Great ingredients like biotin, pumpkin seed extract and sodium hyaluronate boost hydration and help keep them looking fabulous. In about 30 days you should see results, then just keep using it every other day for maintenance from there!
The Longer Lash Look
I love a good lash lift! A lash lift and tint is a great option to get that longer lash look, but if you aren’t one for treatments, curl your lashes with a quality lash curler (trust me, some are awful!) before applying mascara. The Shu Uemura lash curler is amazing. It’s my go-to!
Mascara Best Bets
I’m a stickler when it comes to mascara. My ride-or-die is definitely L’Oréal’s Lash Paradise in the shade blackest black. It has a new formula that’s infused with amazing floral oils and makes your lashes feel soft and conditioned. It’s also clump and smudge resistant, has a great brush for fuller-looking lashes, is long-wearing and good for sensitive eyes. And it’s a great price!
If you’re interested in trending mascaras that are getting all the social love, Addison Rae’s Lash Snack Clean Lengthening mascara is currently all the rage on TikTok. The want looks to be about half the size of the typical wand and amplifies that extra lengthening.
Another mascara that rates highly for me, especially for bolder, full, curled and sky-high lengthened lashes, is Stila’s Magnum XXX mascara.
False Lash Fabulousness
False lashes aren’t what they used to be — for the better! We’re embracing the “less-is-more” lash mentality, with brides and lash lovers opting for a false lash that still gives the impression that they’re natural. Just a little more fabulous! We swear by our Basic Boss lashes and often cut them in half to apply them to the outer lash for a more natural look.
Our Honeymoon lashes are shorter and wonderfully natural-looking and also happen to be one of our best-selling lash styles. For an alternative natural-looking lash, Ardell Professional’s Naked lashes have an invisible band to really help blend those false lashes into your natural ones.
Finding a quality glue that’s translucent will also prevent your lashes from looking messy and unnatural. Try the House of Lashes lash glue and apply a generous coat to the band of the lash. Wait at least 1 minute before you apply the lashes and look down into a compact when you’re placing them so you can see more clearly. If you’re totally comfortable applying false lashes, try out some individual lashes and apply four or five clusters to the outside of your eyes for a soft, gorgeous winged-out look. There are a number of great brands on the market, so see what works best for you!
There you have it, beauties! My tips for long, voluminous lashes. Happy lashing!
