My Currently Coveting List

Britt FeatureProducts & Tips

Hey Beauties! Today, I thought it would be fun to share with you all of the items in the many facets of my life that I’ve been LOVING lately. Being someone who just lives for all things beauty, fashion, home decor, design and wellness, I’ve come to recognize when a product is a true gem. For that reason, I’m here to share with you my ‘currently coveting’ list in the hopes that you find some new things that light up your soul! Because that’s pretty much one of the best feelings ever!

Beauty and Skin care:

*Peace Out Retinol Eye Stick: As someone who really dislikes putting on eye cream with my fingers after dipping into a jar (I can’t really understand why this is?) this balm in a stick form with encapsulated retinol really helps soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles and visibly improves skin texture! Big beauty and skin care win. Best part: easy, fast and in adorable packaging!

*Neulash Lash Serum: This product has completely changed my lashes. I used to have short and pretty thin lashes (from doing semi-permanent lash extensions), but now my lashes are long and thick. They seriously almost touch my eyebrows! I never feel like I have to wear false lashes and just love how wide-eyed and awake my lashes help me look.

*Supergoop Glowscreen: A makeup gripping primer and SPF 40 in one! With ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5, this Glowscreen leaves my skin feeling soft, ultra-dewy and moisturized. Absolute beauty and skin care rolled into one!

*JLo That Blockbuster Face Cream: I recently jumped on the JLO Beauty bandwagon (I know, not a big surprise, right? Love that JLo Glow!) and tried her new 4 piece skincare set. Out of the serum, moisturizer, cleanser, and liquid highlighter, the cream is most definitely my favourite. It has the most interesting, bouncy cream texture and leaves your skin ultra glowy and dewy. (A JLo must!) I also love the smell of the cream and will absolutely purchase a larger one next time! PS. If you’re a fan of the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, it’s very similar!

Britt's favourite Fancy Face products

*The Fancy Face products I just can’t get enough of lately are our Supermodel Lip Bath in Strawberry Strut (the obsession is real), Browmance Brow Gel, French Kiss Blush, our Flawless Hi-Def Translucent Pressed Blotting Powder, our Nude Lipliner and our Angel Lipstick. I wear these products every single day – no matter what!

Home Decor:

*I have enlisted in Emily Michelle Home for quite a few home decor pieces lately. For the kitchen, I love her Acacia wood salt and pepper grinders & I also lover her salt cellar if you’re into the cooking scene. I’ve also purchased some gorgeous art decor from her website for our bedroom!

*Mary Radcliffe is a Toronto-based, hand-crafted contemporary furniture studio, and they make the most stunning catch alls and candlesticks. I have both in my home and every time I look at them, I smile. I highly, highly recommend these pieces! Super elegant and well-made!

Onnit Total Human VitaminsPhoto credit: ONNIT Total Human

Health:

*If you follow Fancy Face closely on Instagram, you’ve probably seen us post about our love for vitamins. When it comes to ensuring I take my vitamins, I genuinely LOVE the ONNIT Total Human Vitamins because your daily vitamins are lumped into packets for both morning and night. Taking these vitamins truly takes the guesswork out of making sure I’m getting the daily nutrients I need. Special thanks to my husband Mark for introducing me to them! (Joe Rogan is the person that he learned about them from)

*I’ve also been obsessed with green smoothies in the morning. You can see one of my fave recipes here!

Wellness:

*I’ve really gotten back onto the journaling train lately. Growing up as an only child, I used to have plenty of quiet time and would write pages and pages in my journals. I have over 10 journals that have all my life’s details in them. However, after meeting Mark and now with two kids, I really dropped the habit. After spending some time reflecting on what brought me a lot of joy in the past, I realized that one of the past times I loved was writing and journaling daily. Since my “me” time is limited these days, I enlisted in the Five Minute Journal and have genuinely fallen in love with showing gratitude on paper again! I miss documenting my life, however, for the time being, it makes me feel good to take even five minutes daily to check in with myself.

Fashion:

*When it comes to clothes, I’ve always been a little lost on what will suit my body best. I really do need the help of experts to steer me in the right direction. This past year, I was tremendously grateful to be asked to take part in the Julianne Costigan Style Guide. This guide quite literally changed the game for me. It’s a subscription-based digital newsletter and style guide that’s sent to your inbox monthly, sharing steals and splurges when it comes to that month’s fashion trends. I highly, highly recommend signing up for it. I promise you’ll love it! Membership is $19.99 a month and it’s truly like having a personal stylist at your beck and call!

Britt's favourite earrings and ringsPhoto credit: Lisa Gozlan, Martha Calvo

Jewellery:

I’m really into a pretty intense ear game and layered gold jewellery around the neck. Some brands that I consistently reach to are Lisa Gozlan (especially for her Huggies in Yellow Gold) -E043 at $108.00 for the set.

*Martha Calvo is a must. I love her donut hoop earrings & her Mismatched Baroque Pearl Earrings. All of Martha’s ear cuffs are also amazing and always do a great  job of making me feel cooler than I am. For those that may want to splurge, I lovvvve pieces by Toronto designer Stor By Margot. I personally have her Woodsen diamond ring band and I wear it every single day!

Good Food | Canada | Meal Kit

Food:

*One thing that has seriously CHANGED THE GAME for Mark and I as parents, is getting on board with the Good Food service. Each week, we get to pick out 4 meals from their website to have delivered to our front door. These meals are delivered unprepared, however, having all the recipes and ingredients in one place has really taken the guesswork out of weekly meal planning for our family, and has also taught Mark and I a ton about cooking! The recipes are legit DELICIOUS and have all been prepped by pro chefs, which Mark and I really appreciate. Not to mention, the food is locally sourced. Can’t say enough good things about this company! We’re hooked!

Favourite Books 2021Photo credit: Amazon

Books:

*The books I’ve read lately have really been focused on learning about the entrepreneurial journey of business owners I admire. I recently read Make Life Beautiful by Studio McGee & Blowing My Way To The Top by Jen Atkin. In the self-help department, I also love Manifest Now by Idil Ahmed. I Highly recommend the audiobook of this. Untamed by Glennon Doyle was also fantastic.

Podcasts:

*I have recently been tuning into the Marianna Hewitt Podcast and have really been enjoying learning more about the guests she’s brought on the show. My fave episodes so far were Bobbi Brown & Jen Atkin. So. Good.

Two Sisters Wine ClubPhoto credit: Two Sisters Wine Club

Wine:

*Two Sisters Wine Club is my ULTIMATE favourite. It’s just so insanely delicious and I love that the wine supports a local small business. The wine truly tastes like some of Italy’s finest. Trust me, it’s amazing – and perfect for Bachelor or Bachelorette nights! We have 6 bottles delivered to the house seasonally & their customer service is great!

That rounds up alllll of the current things I am coveting at the moment. Really hope you find some new gems, Beauties!

Lots of love,
Britt xx
