Date Night Out
If you have the opportunity to take to the town this Valentine’s Day, I encourage you to spice things up within your makeup routine! Adding sultriness to the eyes is the best way to take your everyday makeup to date night makeup without having to start over! Considering Valentine’s Day falls on a Wednesday this year and some of you may be going right from work to dinner, here are the products I recommend to add a little bit of spice
(Ps. I always recommend, if you are playing up the eyes, keep the lips nude/neutral)
A Private Table For Two
Sometimes, there’s absolute magic in staying in and cooking for your loved ones or even for yourself! While I do enjoy going out from time to time, on busier occasions, such as Valentine’s Day, I actually prefer getting all dolled up, and staying in! There are few things I love more than a good tablescape, a home cooked meal, and feeling beautiful in the comfort of my own home. To achieve that perfect night in look, I prefer to keep my makeup fresh! I like to keep my eyes fairly simple with a heavy coat of mascara and mainly focusing on healthy, glowing skin and a juicy lip. Oh! And we can’t forget about the hair! To me, nothing says flirty hair quite like a bouncy blowout.
Cozy On The Couch
A tea, popcorn, and a good ol’ 2000’s rom-com is exactly what I want to see on my Valentine’s Day menu. After a busy holiday season, a long winter and a heavy work week, I say hell ya to a date with the couch. Sometimes, it’s best to take your makeup off, put your hair up and just completely veg out! To make this cozy night feel special, I recommend treating your regular bedtime routine like a mini spa night. Spend some extra time on your skincare routine, perhaps trying a shower steamer or using some bath salts for that extra bit of relaxation!
