My Amazing Go-To Drugstore Beauty Products

Britt FeatureProducts & Tips

Brittany introduces you to her go-to drugstore beauty products to look glam on a budget.

Hello Beauties! It’s time for another highly requested beauty session! I’ve had a number of you gorgeous people ask about what drugstore products I love and use personally, so it’s time to dish on some of my faves. Some of these awesome products are newer to the makeup lines, others are products that have been around for a while and are staples that I reach for over and over again. Here’s my list of go-to amazing drugstore beauty products to look glam on a budget.

Makeup Remover/Facial Cleanser

I love using the Garnier Micellar Water, the all-in-one blue bottle for normal to sensitive skin is terrific. It takes off eye makeup, face makeup, and any kind of waterproof liner or mascara. It’s a powerhouse! I’m also a big fan of the Bioderma Micellar Water as well, I use that from time to time, too. It’s another terrific cleanser and makeup remover, but just costs a little more than the Garnier one.

Press-On Nails

Impress Press-On Nails from the couture collection are awesome for helping to keep my nails looking gorgeous and glam without having to spend a fortune at the salon.

Foundation

If you know me, you know I love a solid glowy and dewy look. Born to Glow by NYX is a natural-looking radiant foundation, it blends in really nicely and gives you that added glow for the summer.

Bronzer

The Sculpting Bronzer by Physician’s Formula is pretty amazing. Don’t quote me on it, but I believe Harper’s Bazaar named it one of the best drug store products. It’s an organic cream bronzer, so you can use it to wonderfully contour your cheekbones. I also picked up a gorgeous Sculpting Brush from Elf, so I just pick up some product from the bronzer stick with my brush, tap the product off, and then gently work to sculpt those stunning cheekbones and soften the product in, work it around the hairline, down the sides of the nose, in the crease of the eye and across the jawline to really sharpen my jaw. I saw two shades at the drugstore, I went for the one called Toffee myself as it is a lovely, warm shade for my skin tone, though the other shade they offered was also gorgeous.

I also love the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer in 6676. The smell of it in particular really gets me good, it’s that heavily scented, beachy, tropical Caribbean inspired scent.

(Also I love Smart Sweets but they aren’t really a part of this list. But I’m obsessed. Try them.)

Lipsticks and Glosses

NYX has a gorgeous and easy Plush Gel Lipstick. I’ve had this bad boy in my personal arsenal for a while now, it’s compact so you can throw it in your purse and it’s easy to apply. Mine is a really lovely pink colour called Dime Piece that I just tap onto my lips after I’ve already lined them in the centre for a nice, flirty pink pout.

The Maybelline Matte Ink Super Stay in Dreamer and Loyalist are also really pretty lipstick shades that I have in my personal arsenal.

Just picked it up…

Because it looked pretty. I gave the Elf Lip Plumping Gloss in Pink Cosmo a try after I spotted it in the drugstore. I love my pinks and my plumping lip products. This one ended up being quite lovely and works well as a gloss to go on top of lip colour you’ve already applied. I could totally feel that tingling sensation, so if that isn’t your jam this product may not be either. But it does seem to be doing its job! For me, these plumping lip products generally kind of fill in the lines in my lips so my pout looks a little fuller.

Mascara

Another product that I use and adore is Loreal’s Voluminous Lash Paradise. This mascara is tried and true, so many people are obsessed with it! It’s a really great mascara to build your lashes to look very full and thick. Add on a lash primer and your lashes will look insane!

Concealer

The Cover Girl Trueblend Undercover Concealer in Classic Ivory is considered another top drugstore product. This product is new to me, but it does a great job. I really like to apply foundation that is a shade deeper than my skin tone, but use a concealer that’s two to three shades lighter than my skin tone to really brighten under the eyes, on my chin and brow bone.

Blush

Another fun product I just tried out for the first time in my IGTV video is the Sweet Cheeks Glow Powder Blush by NYX, in Daydream. It’s a peachy colour and very pretty! It doesn’t replace your blush but does act as a great blush topper. If you tend to have drier skin, this will just give you that extra glow and dewy look on your cheeks with just a tiny touch of colour. It reminds me a little bit of the Nars Orgasm Blush (which is not a drugstore buy) without the added heavy pigment, it’s lovely a soft.

Alright, that’s the roundup of my current drugstore beauty products and favourites that I love to use! If you have any other products you’re curious about, hit me up and I’ll do my darndest to feature them. I always want to know what is working for you and what you want to know more about.

Til next time…x
